Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) New Hampshire / Vermont Chapter recognized 黑料不打烊 with the first place eagle award on Thursday, October 27, 2016 for the Groton School Schoolhouse Addition and Renovation Project at its annual Excellence in Construction Awards Ceremony.
The 44,500 square foot addition and 90,000 square foot renovation was completed in and around the existing fully iconic 1899 occupied building, which is often referred to as the 鈥渉eart of the School鈥. 聽The addition included state-of-the-art STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) classrooms, offices, and new spaces for the humanities, music and shop studies. The renovation included moving the existing McCormick Library from another building into the former auditorium space of the Schoolhouse.
The project聽was completed in phases over聽an occupied school year and integrated the Schoolhouse鈥檚 dignified original structure, virtually unchanged, with the new.
